The Perdido Key beach mouse was listed as an endangered species in 1985. Environmentalists and outdoor enthusiasts enjoy Perdido Key because it is one of the few remaining unblemished stretches of wilderness in the Florida Panhandle. Perdido Key charter fishing offers rich bits of both worlds - the mainlands of Florida and Alabama lie just across Perdido Bay. Most charters are experienced and also well prepared. On our trip, we managed to catch more red snapper than we could count. Perdido Key has cotton-candy soft sand, warm waters, and smells like summer. We have Federal Permits we are allowed to fish outside of state waters. The fishing was slow in the morning but the captain got us back on the fish quickly and we finished the day with a nice cooler full of fish.
